Steps to Optimize Your Blog Professionally
As we have already discussed in the previous blog, how to create a free blog on blogger.com. So if you created your blog on blogger then you can follow this article.
Only creating a blog is not enough to get traffic from google. You need to optimize your blog as well.
Optimizing your blog is important because it helps you consistently get traffic to your blog. There are many things you can do to optimize your blog.
If you not create your blog yet so go to How to start a blog using blogger.com
In the left section of your blogger dashboard, you can see the “Setting” option. Now click on this setting option to edit some basic stuff.

Writing a description for your blog is very important. It helps to describe to your visitor and the search engines what is your blog about. It should clearly describe what you have in your blog for your readers. Include a summary of your blog in your description.
This section will help you to optimize your main page ( Homepage) and you can set up commenting rules for your blog visitors.
Show at Most: From here you can select how many posts you want to display on your homepage.
Who Can Comment: From here you can select who can comment on your blog. Here are 3 options Anyone, User with a Google Account, and Only Members of the Blog. So I recommend you select “User with Google Account”
Comment Moderation: From here you can approve or disapprove the comment of your blog. It prevents your blog from spamming
Using this section, you can optimize your blog according to the search engine. With the help of these settings, you can get a better SERP Ranking.

Meta Tag Description: Meta tag description is a brief and concise summary of your blog. User and search engine bots ( crawler ) always read your meta description after reading your blog title. So keep in mind that meta description is very important and it should always be relevant to your blog content. Meta Tag Description must be written within 150 characters.
Custom Robots.Txt: A robots.txt tells search engines where they can and can’t go on your site. By enabling this your blog’s sitemap will automatically start indexing.
To enable this custom robots.txt on blogger so go to Setting >> Search Preference >> Custom Robots.txt >> Edit to enable and Insert the following code here >> Then click on save changes.

Disallow: User-agent: *
Disallow: /search
Allow: /
Sitemap: Place Your XML sitemap URL here]
Enable Custom Robots Header Tags: By enabling this section you can stop search engines from indexing unnecessary pages of your blog such as labels, archives, search pages, etc.
To Enable custom robots header tags go to Setting >> Search Preference >> Custom Robot Header Tags >> Edit to Enable and follow the below instruction and mark the options >> Then click on save changes.
Home Page Tags : Enable All and Noodp option
Archive and Search Page Tags : Enable NoIndex and Noodp options
Post and Page Tags : Enable All and Noodp option
